FAQ: What size font or line thickness can I hold? We get this question a lot. The answer will be different for everyone depending on your printer and how dark you are able to print your designs. We created this test artwork in order to help you figure out what your setup allows. Print this artwork with your darkest settings and make a stencil to determine the smallest line and font you are able to hold. IMPORTANT: DO NOT SCALE!
FAQ: What is undercutting and should I mirror my artwork? Undercutting occurs when light seeps under the edges of your artwork and causes your artwork to undercut (shrink in). It happens with all artwork, but it is most noticeable with fine details and thin lines. Try mirroring your artwork before printing to see if it makes a difference for you. FAQ: How do I adjust my print settings? Print settings are VERY important when making Ikonart stencils. How dark your artwork prints will determine the level of detail you are able to hold and it will also affect how long it takes to washout your stencil.
