IKONART Stencil Film

(2 reviews) Write a Review

NOTE: When ordering your stencil film, don't forget to also order either Inkjet Printer Film or Laser Printer Film so you can make your stencils!

IKONART Smart Screen Stencils are the fastest, smartest and easiest way to create custom stencils at home. Create customized stencils in three simple steps!

  1. PRINT - Design artwork and print onto Inkjet Film or Laser Film.
  2. EXPOSE - Expose printed image onto the IKONART Stencil Film.
  3. RINSE - Rinse film to reveal your stencil!

After your stencil dries, you are ready to start using your stencil. The possibilities are endless!

Post-exposing our IKONART Stencil Film will increase the durability when reusing your stencils! After you washout and dry your stencil for the first time, just pop it back under the exposure light for a minimum of 2 minutes (we recommend 2-3 minutes; you cannot over post-expose the film). This step is absolutely necessary to increase the durability when washing and re-washing your stencil for multiple uses. Originally we had recommended 30 seconds, which is plenty of time if you are only using the stencil once, or if you are very gentle when you washout. However, 2-3 minutes will give you more durability for a wide variety of washout conditions.

    LET IT DRY!!

Posted by Mari Coleman on 18th Sep 2019

These are great! I just ordered a 25 pack so I can make all the stuff that's floating in my head!! Big enough for a couple screens on each page and you can cut excess off and use another time if your screen is too small for full sheet. One tip is LET IT DRY!!! Don't get excited and try to peel off backing before it is completely dry. It needs the time to cure to make the paper sturdy. After dry and cured a second time it is very strong.

    Works Well!

It's so exciting to watch my custom designs appear during the washout! It's very easy to determine which side to lay face up. Finding the "sweet spot" of water temp and water pressure takes a little practice but I quickly figured it out.
